About Kathleen Saito

Kathleen Saito is a Maui-based writer and storyteller whose work blends folklore, imagination, and oral tradition. She is the author of Sirena, an ocean-inspired fantasy story, and is currently writing the next book in the Sirena series. She is also the creator of Once Upon a Moʻolelo: A Collection of Kaʻao, a growing collection of stories inspired by myth, transformation, and the power of storytelling. Titles in this collection include Hinahea and the Noni, Kainalu & Keʻalohi, and Ka Mōʻī o Maui: Leimomi and the Lost Future. She is currently writing the next story in the collection, an adaptation of Cinderella titled Mahina Lepo.
