

It is incredible to discover mermaid legends from different parts of the world. In some cultures, mermaids are portrayed as gentle and benevolent beings. In others, they are feared as dangerous omens that lure ships toward their doom.
Japanese folklore offers yet another fascinating perspective, linking mermaids—known as Ningyo 人魚—to the mystery of long life and immortality.
Exploring these legends and the many interpretations of mermaids across cultures continues to spark ideas for my writing and storytelling.
